Yoongi already knew Namjoon was planning to ask Seokjin out that night, but that didn’t mean that having his suspicions confirmed didn’t still put a jealous ache in his chest.
And he wasn’t sure who he was more jealous of. Seokjin, for getting to simply be himself without a voice in the back of his head reminding him that his very existence itself was dishonoring to his parents and a stain on the earth, that he was better off dead.
Or Namjoon, who was brave enough to shoot his shot with the one and only Kim Seokjin. Who could confess the very things Yoongi himself wished he could, except he got to do it without all the terror that prevented Yoongi from breathing some days. (How many panic attacks had Seokjin helped him through without even knowing he was the indirect cause of them?)
But neither his jealousy nor the root cause of it mattered because he had a role to play. Supportive best friend.
