Summary
Cassandra Pentaghast had always wanted to be romanced, to be swept off her feet. In her fantasies it was always a bold and brave warrior doing the sweeping. She never pictured Solera Adaar being the one to romance her. Yet, her eyes are always drawn to her and her own feelings confuse her. One small existential crisis later and she makes a decision to take that step with Solera.
Solera Adaar never questioned her urges, she lived a mercenary life and indulged when life gave her the opportunity. As quick as the night was over, so was that partner. She never thought about settling down or making a deeper connection to anyone. Until Cassandra Pentaghast entered into her life. Solera knew Cassandra's biases and never wanted to take a step closer unless it was wanted.
After some well intentioned meddling (for both women), Solera decides to lay all her cards on the table.

really tho Cassandra's hard-to-define relationship with the female inquisitor made a big impact on me as an ex-evangelical and i think dai in general is a thoughtful criticism of that world... so this is how I imagined their story might continue. hope you like it xo
