Summary
Justin stroked Clay's cheek with his thumb and gently played with his hair in a way Justin hoped was comforting.
"You're being so brave Clay. I'm so proud of you bro. Just keep holding on. Everything's going to be okay."
"I can't" Clay pleaded, crying quietly. "I can't do this anymore."

Summary
*My take on the aftermath/sequel of season 1 in which the tapes weren't revealed and Clay did get Bryce's confession but didn't show anyone yet.*
SPOILERS FOR THE SHOW
There will be multiple chaptersClay Jensen was the last person that everyone expected to attempt suicide, but then again, nobody expected Alex or Hannah to do it either. Three times the charm doesn't work in this case.
One day Tony comes over Clay's to check up on him and finds him in a pool of his own blood, just in time to get him to the hospital. The next day Clay's recorded suicide note arrives at Tony's door.
Now he must find out why his friend tried to kill himself, help him heal in the process, and try to understand why the hell Justin Foley keeps showing up in Clay's hospital room.

Summary
SEASON 2 FINAE SPOILERS (the story starts taking place at the end of the episode.)
Clay Jensen, with a well-intended and good heart, is shot dead by Tyler Down. He was going to do what he was supposed to, what Hannah wanted—help the struggling, but his body was laying on the concrete sidewalk, the colorful lights of a school dance emanating on his face, choking on his own blood with a bullet wound to the neck.
It wasn’t his time yet. He wakes up in Jessica’s room the night of her party with the chance to do what he was supposed to and make things right.
OR:
Tyler kills Clay at the end of the season 2 finale, and Clay wakes up the night of Jessica’s party in the room with Hannah.
