Summary
The last memory that came was so mortifying Alicent resolved to not remember anything else. It wasn’t even the fact that it ended with her chundering in the pub toilets, but what had led her there: spotting a spring of mistletoe across the pub, pinned to the beamed ceiling.
Alicent cringed as the lightbulb moment popped into her head as suddenly and clearly as it had the night before. Perfect, she remembered thinking elatedly. An excuse to kiss Rhaenyra with no ramifications. What a brilliant Christmas tradition. What a fantastic, foolproof plan.
A tennis-verse Christmas AU, set a few years before the events of 'strawberries & cream'.

Summary
Everything about Alicent is rage inducing. The way she’s so awkward she can barely make eye contact, the way her hands shake when they're together in the same room, the way she looks at Rhaenyra like she’s the first person she’s seen in years. Oh, yeah, and the way she locked her in a freezing underground bunker.

Summary
Rhaenyra is no longer at all sure what she wanted from this encounter, but she knows it isn’t this. She doesn’t want to leave this room with everything between herself and Alicent unresolved like this, although she has no idea how, exactly, to go about resolving it. She has a strange feeling, almost as if a part of her knows that if she leaves now, she will never be able to come back.

Summary
Alicent knows she shouldn’t bite but she cannot stop her reflexive retort. “That’s rich coming from a notorious narcissist.”
She immediately regrets it, is on the verge of apologising, but Rhaenyra is quicker and out for blood now, a dangerous glint in her eye.
“Better a self-aware narcissist than a self-righteous, deluded, parasite. Tell me do they teach charlatanism at the Citadel or is that something you inherited from your father?”
(Modern Academics AU - Alicent, literature professor and noted novelist, returns to King’s Landing after a long absence to take a position at the same university where former best friend Rhaenyra is a member of the history faculty. Why did they fall out and why in the Seven are they teaching a lecture together?)
