A loud metallic creak sent Nathan’s heart racing. His head snapped up to see Shoma walking through the locker room door. Time seemed to move in slow motion as Shoma stopped in his tracks, his blank, sleepy expression shifting in surprise as he inhaled. Nathan’s heart dropped into his stomach. Because of course. Not only did he go into rut in potentially the most public moment of his life, it had to be Shoma who found him like this. It was like watching a car crash. Nathan couldn’t look away as Shoma’s eyes swept the room before finally landing on him, his lips forming a little “o” of surprise. Nathan held his breath as they locked eyes.
