    This is an AU that branches off from canon to explore what life would be like for Steve and Bucky if they both set aside being superheroes to just live their lives as the best men they can be.

    Proving that you don’t need a super-serum to be a hero, and you don’t need to fight supervillains to make a difference.

    I’ll be adding to this on an irregular basis, just moments and time stamps and soft!Stucky in a civilian retirement world populated by people who care.

    Steve would do damn near anything to aid Bucky with his recovery, but when his friend calls for him in a panic, terrified by the existence of his own erection, he finds himself in a rather more awkward position than he might have expected.

    Still, he has no intention of letting his feelings get in the way of giving Bucky whatever help he may need, and if that means keeping his own desires firmly at bay while he teaches his best friend how to touch himself, then so be it. After all, it's not as if Bucky could ever return his feelings... right?

    “One meter.” Sam says over the comlink. “They’re closing in near you. Steve, if you have some magic anime power, I suggest you pull it out of your ass right now.”
    Bucky scowls. All he can see are black suits, the imaginary spots in his peripherals that feel like guns being pulled out of pockets. “Then what do you expect me to do?! We’re cornered—“
    There’s a moment of strange realization that flickers in Steve’s eyes. “Trust me,” He says, and before Bucky can react, he flips him around so Bucky is pressed against the wall, and kisses him fully on the mouth.
