Summary
Among all her enemies, precariousness was one that Yor hadn't been able to slay. It had stalked after her, as she fought to give Yuri a childhood and a future. Even after she had kept it at bay long enough to accomplish that mission, it would creep ever closer with each suspicious glance from a coworker, each hushed whisper of neighbor, now with her as its sole target. It was a tiring foe, to fight alone and its numbness had been taking its toll.
Until Loid and Anya fell into her life, as if in a fairy tale, and banished it away.
As incredible as this Forger safe haven is, a part of her can't help but dwell on the woman that should have been there in her place: Loid's first wife, the one he loves so much, he still can't bring himself to put up a picture of her, much less talk about her. But the more time that passes, the more Yor wants to understand her mysterious predecessor. Who had she been to the Forgers? So she turns to the one man who knows Loid best, Franky, with her questions.
But is she ready for the answers?
