"What's this for?" Dave asked, walking behind the ringmaster as he shoved off his coat and hat, removing the makeup.
"Something I want you to keep. Don't break it, don't fiddle with it." Henry gruffly answered as he shut the door.
"But why?" He asked despite his better judgement.
"David was supposed to have it." Henry deadpanned, glaring at him from within the mirror, "If you're going to steal his name, you may as well steal his original purpose."
He blinked, looking at the pocket watch more carefully. It ticked at an inconsistent amount of time. He swore it ticked backwards for a second... But that may have been his eyes playing tricks on him.
"And if you're going to be David, you'll already know what this is."

His unwilling 'adoptive' father gave him a pocket watch. With what purpose? Delicate, definitely fragile and... Counting down the minutes. Seconds. Days.
A five hours and three minutes remain. After a decade, Dave realises what the point of it is.
It's counting down to the end of the world.

Good lord we're back here again, are we? You can take the man out of the dayshift, but never the dayshift out the man.
I know I put the other book to a stop only recently, but I've gotten back into dsaf and was met with the urge to write about them again, so here we are. I decided to separate this book from the other, considering my old writing and it's contents aren't something I'm particularly proud of.
These will also, hopefully, contain much less smutty content! I've grown/learnt from my old self, I promise.
