Billy scoffed again, rolling his eyes as his tail flicked from side to side. Tommy had a point about rarity, it did make a difference, especially in small towns like this where the majority of the population were dogs, cats and rabbits. It was one of the reasons why Billy had been such a shock to the system, a lion walking into a Midwest high school was bound to get people talking. As an apex predator it was his right to be top of the food chain, so when he’d asked about the current ‘top dog’ as it were he’d expected another predator. A wolf or a bear even.
