'I’m too old for this.' he thinks, not for the first time. Bilbo tries not to get weepy, instead steeling himself to rise and greet the same day he’s been greeting for hundreds of years. It’s sort of become a game to him, now. To the both of them. To see how long they can act like their old selves, like the know-nothings they’d been when Gandalf had sent thirteen dwarves Bilbo’s way, changing their lives forever.
