Summary
If Sanji knew about Kuina, he didn’t let on, just finished clearing off the table he was working on and gestured for Zoro to sit. “Blueberry pancakes?” he asked once Zoro slipped into the booth.
The normalcy of the phrase made his heart burst and break within the same breath, but he did his best to answer with a nod. The boy’s familiar kitchen yell barely registered in his ears, fading in and out like a secret under water. Zoro couldn’t believe he was doing this without her—eating her favorite meal… having the audacity to move forward. But what else could he do? Who else was he, if not her best friend?
or,
Sanji’s family owned a diner and Zoro would go most Sundays to eat blueberry pancakes, yearn, and grieve.

Summary
Zoro held him while Sanji spoke about how crushing that loneliness was, the idea that he could stop existing and there would be no one left to even know. He told Zoro about how terrified he was of being a zombie, of turning as one of the last humans left.
Sanji couldn't stop himself from spilling all of the thoughts he'd been forced to keep to himself. Zoro just held him, fingers brushing against Sanji's cheeks. And after Sanji wore himself out and fell asleep, Zoro held him still.

Summary
Sanji knows that good things always come at a price. His mother’s love was warm, but brief. His sister’s help came along with getting pushed away. Zeff’s devotion at the cost of a leg. Sanji found his soulmate, but his soulmate didn’t share what he wanted.
It’s pathetic, really, that Sanji clings on anyway, but if he’s going to be sailing with the bastard, he might as well take what we can get.
