Summary
Fury pulls the new Avengers team together for a training exercise but makes a poor choice, and Peter gets the brunt of it. Tony reacts predictably, especially when he realizes he doesn't know everything that happened back during the Homecoming fiasco.
(Part of the Strands in the Rope/Unbroken Strands series, but honestly any of these stories can mostly be enjoyed as stand-alones if you fill in background relationships yourself. :) Just know that everything in canon happened (but a lot more!) up until Infinity War would have happened, but then we took a hard right and reimagined everything after that point! The Avengers are back and trying to figure out how to work together again, and Tony and Peter are basically family, and everything is as it should be!

Tony jolted out of his half-asleep state. “What’s up, FRI?”
“There is a visitor here to see you.” Tony jumped up. Anyone he knew would usually call or text first, so he was immediately on alert.
“Who is it, FRI?”
“I need you to have an open mind, and know that I do not believe this person is any threat.” Oh, yeah, that made him feel better.
“Excuse me? How about you let me decide that, Watson?” He started walking towards the door, activating his watch gauntlet.
“Wait, Boss.” He was annoyed, but he trusted his AI enough to stop and listen. “I also need you to know that I have performed biometric scanning, and this person is who they appear to be. However, they insist they’re not from our universe, and that is the part I don’t understand.”In a universe where he never invented time travel, and never brought anyone back, Tony Stark gets a late night visitor he never could have expected.

To top off all the crazy, they want him to apply for the Young Interns program at Stark Industries. They may not be big fans of Tony Stark, but he has some impressive equipment they would love to get their hands on. Peter doesn't care about their motives, but he's been a fan of Tony Stark for pretty much forever...

Summary
A collection of insights starting after the events of Homecoming, mostly from Tony's perspective. The relationship that Tony and Peter had built by the time Infinity War happened (or not - I'm not a big fan) wasn't built on any big world-ending events, but on countless lab sessions, movie nights, smaller emergencies, and conversations. All of these combined to form a bond between them just as strong as blood ties, and just as unbreakable. I feel like we missed out on all that on-screen, so I can never read enough stories that would maybe cover that period.

Summary
This series is my very first try writing fanfic (after reading it for like 25 years) And this is the extended story and universe that I haven’t been able to get out of my head lately after reading a few other Tony-and-Peter-as-platonic-soulmates fics that I wanted a lot more development from. Mostly we're following Peter and Hallie as they meet, explore their relationships, deal with some of Hallie's trauma, and have a few adventures along the way. :) Peter has pretty much finished his education and is being groomed to take over Stark Industries and the Avengers.
