Hermione Granger has an enviable career, honestly. Being a Hogwarts professor and filling the shoes of the inimitable Minerva McGonagall is an honor, after all. It's a privilege, really, if one doesn't linger over long at the white-haired menace who's made himself quite at home in every facet of her life.
And, she's a wonderful professor—commendable, truly! Only... there's something of a thorn in her side, in the form of a poncey little Potions professor who can't seem to leave her alone, or stop winning their yearly wager over their students' O.W.L. and N.E.W.T. results, and, well, truthfully it's overtaken her life.
This year will be her year. Professor Malfoy will most certainly NOT be getting one (more) over on her.
