Summary
“It’s too much,” Link admits. “It’s too much all at once.” I don’t know how to deal with this, he does not say. He doesn’t have to, not when the silence overpowers the layout of the area and the house is forever one chair empty, a family portrait that will never be complete anymore.
Link buries his head into his arms, ears pinned back and shoulders tense. “I want things to return to how they used to be.” The words are rasped out, as if they are something to be ashamed of. “Before that cursed island, before the Oracles, and before Agahnim.”
Nima has nothing to say to that last sentence, for she knows nothing about going on adventures or being a hero, nothing about fighting or having the weight of a whole kingdom rest on your shoulders, or the sacrifices needed to be made to ensure everyone’s safety. She hates how she has no words of comfort or advice to offer.
or, Nima is not blind to how Link struggles after his travels. She can't watch as he deteriorates, as the sweet young boy he once was is washed away with someone unfamiliar and haunting. One day, she approaches him with the promise of company and a shoulder to lean on, and can only hope it's enough.

Summary
Nayru looks at the statue, hand keeping Link in place, and she continues her message. “The journey ahead will be unpleasant, and you're going to be bitter and angry for many years. But I need you to remember it’s all worth it. The memories, the laughter and tears, it’s all worth it.”
There's something ancient in her words as she regards Link, as if this is a message she has foretold countless times before. “You will live a happy life, but only if you fight for it. And Link, you always need to fight for it.”
Or, Legend forgets he can lead a happy life, but only if he lets himself. He needs to open up and trust those around him, but it's hard when all he can think of is how he's destined to fail as a hero, and that in the end, everyone leaves.

Summary
He had to believe it was the right thing to do; everyone fought so hard for this land, to have this spot of protection with black and yellow walls cradling them. It was worth it; dying for L’Manburg, sacrificing for it.
It had to be, but the grim expression on Wilbur’s expression had him doubting his decisions.
It's the night after L'Manburg gains its independence and Wilbur and Tommy need to talk about the latter sacrificing his life for their victory

Summary
Link knows Zelda loves Loftwings, perhaps as much as he does. And, well, Link may not be good at socializing, but he can always give her a gift, right? Wyrna says gifts are a wonderful way to befriend others, and he likes to think he was really good at wood sculptures by now.
After the death of his parents, Link finds himself alone; the other kids finding him too strange or wanting nothing to do with him. Wyrna and Jakamar try their best to care for him, but they can never replace his parents.
One day, with a suggestion from Wyrna about how to befriend others, Link decides to make something for Zelda, someone who has always treated him kindly. He needs to find the courage to give it to her, and luckily a certain Loftwing helps him out.

Summary
Quackity can’t help the laughter in his voice, a tad squeaky as he says, “A partnership?”
The man nods, sitting back down with a tired huff. It’s still night time, and yet the chill doesn't reach them as the windows say shut. The warmth of the silence gives an illusion of safety, and Quackity can’t help the way he sinks back down into the covers.
“It gets lonely, having no one around.”
Quackity knows what he means. “So you want to be friends,” he raises a brow at the other man.
Charlie smiles bashfully. “Or whatever. Friend, business partner, survival buddy. Whatever fits best.”
Quackity hums tiredly. The promise of company during these unpredictable times sounds reassuring, and Quackity finds himself agreeing. “Sure. That sounds nice,” he whispers.

Even before the apocalypse, Quackity was miserable with his life. He's always been alone, and after running from his engagement, he held true to belief that being alone was better than fake. Meeting Charlie, he's starting to question if this mentality was ever true.

Summary
That night Tommy didn’t do anything but sit on his cot, knuckles white from his grip on the chain. The moment Dream stepped through the humming portal, Tommy scrambled to beg him to put it on, crying that he was scared. Scared of himself, scared of things getting worse, scared of not knowing what was and wasn’t real.
He wasn’t in control, hadn’t been in a long time. But that’s fine, as long as Tommy had Dream, because Dream would help him, he would keep him safe. Dream cared for Tommy, he told Tommy directly that he wouldn’t abandon him, not when they’ve made so much progress.

Summary
It haunts his dreams, the tears marking a young face as Tommy lets out guttural sobs while Wilbur rows away. Hearing them, at the time, almost made Wilbur turn back. Because Wilbur said he wasn’t going to hurt Tommy anymore, his baby brother, and that he would keep him safe.
But he can’t do that if he stays.
He knew if he stayed, Tommy would get hurt again. And Wilbur promised he wouldn’t hurt Tommy anymore.

Summary
Techno watches as Tommy storms across the room, boots crushing an apple without remorse, a sickening crunch ringing to Techno’s sensitive ears. He can only watch as Tommy fumes, a repetitive tune to them both. Nothing changes between them it seems. Techno says the wrong things, moves the wrong way, and Tommy backs up like a cornered animal. Sometimes he responds in an appeasing way that resembles nothing like the boy Techno saw grow up. Often, he responds in anger, in violence.
Techno stays in that exact spot, even hours after Tommy has left.

Summary
He needs to get Tommy, “No, no. My brother—I can’t leave him behind, please.” He begs the universe that this person will understand. Tommy is all he has, he can’t—he needs Tommy to be here, with him. He needs Tommy to be safe. “Let me go! Tommy!” he shouts, pushing at the arms trying to pin him to the seat. “Tommy! Please, he’s all I have. Please please, let go of me.” Wilbur was crying, but he didn't care.
There was the click of his seat belt locking in place, and Wilbur sobs harder at the noise, clawing furiously at the strong material. “No no no,” he shrieks, “I need to get to get my brother, please!”

Or, After a trip gone wrong, Wilbur finds himself lost and alone after being separated from his brother. Powerless, all he can do is wait and hope Tommy is alright.

Summary
Ranboo’s crown means a lot to them. It’s the only thing she has left from the Ender, from her kingdom. Forged from end crystals and obsidian made from their mother’s breath, it holds a lot of value in the Overworld. Despite this, Ranboo knows nobody from the Pub(e) would ever dare to touch their crown.
Well, except for Tommy.

Or, Ranboo, being new to the Overworld, takes a while to get used to all the new cultures and ways of life. This includes the act of giving and what it means to be family.

Summary
With a combination of Wilbur’s fights, Tommy’s new norm consisted of nightmares. Dreams of wandering the forest, moonlight and a light harmonizing voice guiding him through the dark terrain. He’s barefoot in these dreams, and the forest floor always manages to cut his feet into a bloody mess. Not that it matters in the end, when gentle green eyes and sharp hands cradle him close to a waters edge.
He dies in these dreams, and it’s not always gentle. Sometimes the creature that holds him cradles him as he goes under water, other times his body is a mangled mess of torn limbs and blood bathing the wildlife around them–Tommy fighting with all he has to reach land one more time.

Or, Wilbur has always talked about the 'Death Bringer', hoping it would keep Tommy safe. Tommy never believed him, and that was his first and final mistake

Summary
Heaven is not as it all seems, and Tommy and Tubbo know this best. Living with strict and harsh punishments, both do what they have to do to survive.
Except for Tommy, his attempts at being a good angel isn’t good enough. He finds banishment is the beginning step towards healing and finding a family, meanwhile Tubbo struggles with finally acting instead of staying silent.
