“Vi,” She responds quietly, smiling at the vision (because that's what Vi is, even after a fight– an absolute vision of a woman) in front of her. Both of her hands come up to cradle Caitlyn's face, and she willingly leans into it. “You're bleeding… are you– alright?”
“Am I alright–” Vi repeats the question, eyes welling up with tears– and Caitlyn brings her own hand up, it shakes so terribly, to caress Vi's cheek. She misjudges the distance, again– why? –and touches the air instead. She gets it on the second try. “–Oh, Cait, your eye.”
“I'm okay,” She assures her quietly, “I'm alright, Violet. I'm okay.”

Next, her leash is pulled taut as another long finger, and another, penetrates her wanting mouth.

Caitlyn has returned to her study a few more times since her first visit. Twice under the guise of official business — but she prefers the later night hours, stalking shadows like a particularly unwanted dog. They talk about protocol, grief, and Caitlyn once admits (smiling in vengeful sorrow) that it was her own inaction that led to her mother’s demise.
Ambessa notes that she never once presents herself out of uniform.

Vi pauses a moment. It seems like an obviously bad idea, but she asks anyway. “Your place?”
Caitlyn grimaces, shakes her head, “That’s the second place they’d look.”
“I’ll save us both the trouble of listening to me offer more suggestions you’ll inevitably shoot down,” Vi says acidly, a brief petty thrill at Caitlyn’s answering scowl. “Something tells me you have an idea already.”
Wincing, Caitlyn blows out a long breath. “I might know somewhere.”
