The thing is—if Yuna says fuck logic, and sometimes she has to or else her brain will break in half, then it’s not entirely wrong to say that Chaeryeong does treat them similarly sometimes. Yuna and Ryujin. And maybe that’s why she covets her attention, chases it to her detriment like a moth to a flame. Maybe that, too, is the reason she engages in this silent game of tug of war with Ryujin. As if there’s actually an ending in which she comes out victorious.

Chaeryeong has taken to skirts recently.
Cute midi ones with floral designs on pastel fabric, and plaid patterns, and long, dark skirts that pool on the floor around her loafers. Most frequently now, as the weather has begun to turn from spring to summer, short pleated denim skirts, the ones that barely reach the middle of her thighs—thighs that have seen years of ballet and an overused gym membership—and leave little to the imagination of anyone around who’s watching (and they are all watching).
So yeah. Chaeryeong has taken to skirts recently and it’s driving Ryujin crazy.

There were a lot of things. When Chaeryeong held her face, she could hear her heartbeat in her hands, which was odd, but it felt normal. It felt normal because it was Chaeryeong’s heartbeat and Chaeryeong’s hands. Caressing her hair with all the kindness in the world, that Ryujin was fairly certain she didn’t deserve. Her lower stomach ached with want every single time they made eye contact, or whenever Chaeryeong would smile, that stupid smile. Worth a thousand words that Ryujin just couldn’t say.
