    The Earl was recently a widower, and he retreats to his family home and manor with his young child to process his grief. There he meets art historian and restorer, Alastor Hartfelt, who has been enjoying this out of the way assignment due to its isolation and endless fascinating projects. But the presence of a child throws a wrench in his slice of heaven, as he has taken great pains to avoid hurting anyone around him, or to reveal the dark secrets of his past that could ruin his career. But he is powerless to resist the child with her open smile and heart, and even more so the hurt and loneliness in the father's eyes. If Alastor wants to remain in his favorite historical manor, he would need to prove that he is utterly harmless.
