Summary
The first thing Baizhu notices as he regains consciousness is that it is still far too early in the night to warrant being awake.
The second thing Baizhu notices is that he had evidently overworked himself while treating patients the day prior, and was now paying the price for it in the stiff, aching pains layered throughout the muscles of his body.
The third thing he notices is that there is someone else in the room with him.

Summary
Klee wipes away the remnants of her own tears with her sleeve, and stretches up to take Kaeya’s face in the smallness of her hands, carefully grasping at his cheeks. It grounds Kaeya into the reality of the world a little more.
“I get it.” the girl says quietly. “I get happy whenever big brother Albedo says he loves Klee, and Kaeya gets happy when others say they love him too.” She pauses, considering her next words. “And… and surprises are ways of saying ‘I love you’, even when they’re not surprises anymore. Did Klee get it right?”

On Kaeya’s birthday, Klee is made responsible for keeping him entertained and not suspicious while the main event is set up. Kaeya is not fooled.

Kaeya leans into her space a bit, and grinning, says, "Then let's drink together and forget what needs to be forgotten! What do you say?" There's a hidden kindness to his words that Rosaria appreciates. The two may not know much about the other's past, keeping as much as they can buried deep inside themselves, but they do know they both have circumstances in their life they'd rather not think about too deeply on days like these.
A sort of study on the characters of Rosaria and Kaeya, looking at how they would interact given their pasts and personalities.

Summary
They gravitated towards Zuko whenever the temperature dipped even slightly. At night, he often woke to someone pulling their bedroll towards him, or slipping under his arm, or turning over in their sleep and colliding with his shoulder.
It alarmed him, at first. It had never been a good thing when someone woke him in the dead of the night.
It was strange, then, that he was on the run without Uncle, officially a traitor to his homeland, and for the first time since his mother left, he woke in the night sandwiched between bodies, feeling safe.
