Jean has tiny scars — healed over things, pale slashes tinted just a shade whiter than his skin. Jeremy has noticed when Jean feels especially unsteady, he rubs at them. A few across his cheekbone, beneath his tattoo, several at his chin, a nastier rope of one slashed through the bridge of his nose. And the one Jeremy always fixes on, the slip of skin across his sharp little cupid’s bow, disturbing skin blushed pink with a raised line that Jeremy wants to run his thumb over, and then his own lips.
Jean Moreau is a regular at Jeremy’s cafe on top of being his next door neighbor. That doesn’t mean Jeremy’s been able to move beyond pining at a distance. Until now.

Summary
* One thing I should have made clear at the outset. This is not a massive novel. This is a series of interwoven short stories. Just thought it might be wise to clarify. Lol.
So this is the first chapter in what promises to be an extremely long work. I will add tags as I go along.
There are so many of you out there writing Sherlock Holmes stories and you are all doing such an incredible job and I am such a fan.
I know I am just a voice in the crowd but I hope I am a welcome one.
Please bear with me if I stray from cannon or take artistic license. I'm sure I will misplace details and muddle facts as I go along and I can only hope that you will extend me your forgiveness. ❤️
Please wish me luck with these two because I have been wanting to write about Sherlock Holmes and Watson for 43 years and I have finally worked up the courage to do it now.
