    Summary

“I want you to meet my Master,” Yingxing tipped his drink to Dan Feng’s. His violet eyes looked directly at Dan Feng’s emerald ones.
Dan Feng raised an eyebrow at Yingxing’s sudden proposition, his expression calm but curious. The clinking of their cups filled the brief silence as he contemplated the request.

Yingxing introducing him formally to his family means a step forward to deepen the bond between them–surely, Yingxing must know the weight of it. He was inviting him to a more personal and intimate space.

Despite the composed tone Yingxing gave, there’s an underlying nervousness in those eyes. Dan Feng broke off eye contact before nodding.
“Alright,” he replied. “I’ll meet him. What does a drink say?” He suggested.

"Yes, a drink would be nice."

“I look forward to our meeting in the future, then.” He raised his cup in a toast.

Yingxing’s grin widened, and he raised his in return, the clinking sound of cup sealing the promise of a shared future.

    Summary

“I think,” Welt says out loud, “it’s okay to be a little selfish sometimes.”

    “Really?”

Dan Heng sounds like he doesn’t believe him. Welt can’t blame him.

Nonetheless, he continues. “I’ve mentored a group of kids much like you all. Young, energetic, and hearts too big for their own good.” Welt sighs. “They didn’t have the time to be selfish, too busy being heroes. So if there is room for you to be selfish, then at least the burdens of the world are not placed on your shoulders.”

“Someone has to be a hero eventually.”

“‘The tragedy does not lie in the sacrifices we’ve made for our victory - it is that we’ve accustomed ourselves to the fact that we must sacrifice someone for our victory,’” Welt recites, an age-old lesson that took him far too long to understand. “If you have something to call your own, that you can be selfish for, then the world has not failed you yet, Dan Heng.”

Dan Heng has nothing to say to that, but Welt thinks that he might get it.

Or, not yet. Just like how Welt didn’t get it, once.

    But he will, with time.

“I just didn’t want you to get hurt.” Welt frowned. “I panicked.”

“Happens to the best of us.” Einstein patted him on the back lightly. “It’s alright.”

They sat like that for a while, in companionable silence. Nothing between them and nothing around them, but the world in its beautiful stillness.

“Why did you give me the name Welt?” The man in question asked suddenly.

As expected, however, the scientist gave no answer - she only smiled cryptically. “Maybe you should ask someone else.”

    Summary

Akivili's mortal form became a tapestry, one whose every thread was formed from fibers made of affection and admiration and sewn together by careful and gentle fingers. It was a love letter to the human body.

Aha's was not. Aha did not care for maintaining accuracy, they deemed it unnecessary. As long as they donned an appearance just barely human enough to pass as one, it did not matter; to Aha, it was little more than mere sheepskin that they shedded whenever they pleased. They were a ticking time bomb encased in a hollow, superficial shell.

But this did not bother Akivili.

"Would you prefer it if [my hand] was warmer, like yours?"

    They shook their head.
“I adore you the way you are.”

A story about two Aeons learning to love (and their eventual fall from grace)
