Summary
“Yeah, well…” Steve was pushing his hair back, his fingers taking the paths already outlined. “Both of my best friends are kind of music buffs. Helped me understand music better.”
“Byers, huh?” Eddie asked, his lips twitching. Although there was no way Steve hadn’t replaced him in the category of best friend, right?
“Come on,” Steve said, his eyebrow furrowing. No fucking way.
Something about Steve’s expression made Eddie uneasy. “You never called,” Eddie whispered, his eyes darting between those honey-brown ones he dreamt about for so long after he left. Dreamt about in ways he could never admit to the man in front of him.
“I didn’t know if you wanted me to,” Steve answered, so damn softly.
OR
Eddie visits Hawkins for the party's graduation after relocating to Indy Post-Vecna. No one wants him there except for maybe Steve anyway. He's not safe. Years have passed but feelings weren't talked about. Now they're seeing each other in the record shop that Steve built from scratch on the night Eddie drives in and he's probably a little too high for that...

Summary
There were a lot of reasons to love Steve Harrington. The way his stupid hair was always perfectly swooped back. Or how he cares about his friends with his whole heart. And not to mention, the curve of his ass in every pair of jeans he owns. But the one currently sitting at the top of his list?
Steve Harrington is a really fucking good kisser.

Summary
“The whole falling in love with your best friend trope is so overdone. I mean, two people can be friends and not be in love with each other,” Robin huffed, the irritation in her voice was most certainly from the constant assumption that they– Steve and Robin– were a couple. “Take me and Steve, for example, strictly platonic.”
Nancy clicked her tongue. “But, friendships can be a great foundation for a relationship. I think it depends on the couple.”
He could feel the way Nancy’s gaze fell onto him, and when he turned to meet it, he knew that she had figured him out, at least to some degree. The friend he was pining for wasn’t who everyone thought it was. Assumed that it was.
...
“Don’t worry, Stevie,” Eddie started, his ringed hand wrapping around and squeezing the relaxed muscle of his calf. “I’m sure you’ll befriend another lovely girl and make her fall head over heels for you.”
A strange feeling radiated from his chest. It didn’t feel right to let that hang in the air. He took a deep breath and said with his exhale, “I already have another perfectly viable best friend to fall for, thanks.”
OR
Steve finally lets it slip he's crushing on one of the fruity four.

Summary
Eddie’s life, well, it wasn’t a fairytale. After his shit parents left him abandoned in their shitty shack of a home, his uncle Wayne took him in. A modest man who worked for what he had. Their time together was good–solid. Then Wayne went and fell in love. That was really cool for him, but now Eddie was living in a house way too big and too clean. He shared a surprisingly thin wall with a neanderthal of a “brother”, Tommy Hagan, who had lots of jock friends over and preppy–bitchy girls.
It was Eddie’s hell.
Tonight was one of those unfortunate nights where the house was taken over by the popular seniors. It was a birthday celebration for one of the worst of them all: Steve Harrington.

Summary
It was the summer of 2019. Steve Harrington was being pawned off at summer camp instead of fending for himself. On the first day, he befriends a quiet musician who also happens to be his roommate. He’s not like Steve’s other friends. He’s… different. It’s different. It was a breath of fresh air from the life he left behind in Hawkins. But as the summer rolls on, Steve and Eddie grow closer. The distance that threatens their friendship becomes too much for them to handle.
A few years after graduation, a promise tethers them back to that same summer camp that brought them together in the first place. Is this a second chance at friendship or something more?

Summary
Eddie was concerned, but not 100% sure that he died. He had to be dead if he got stuck in the Upsidedown. Except. Sometimes he got out. Sometimes he flickered about topside and enjoyed his new favorite hobby: Haunting Steve Harrington.
Steve was concerned that he lost his mind. He kept hearing things. Seeing things. Smelling things. And by "things" of course, he meant Eddie Munson. It's enough to drive him up a wall. Or at least out of the closet. With help from Robin, of course.
The Party was concerned. Steve's behavior of late, was... weird. He started talking to himself. Max saw him breaking into Eddie's trailer in the middle of the night. Lucas noticed some pretty questionable hickeys when they played basketball. Except how could he be hooking up with someone when Steve never left the house? One thing became clear: it was time for an intervention.

Summary
“Wait,” Steve grabs Eddie's hand before he flies away. “Stay?” His eyes are worn and a hint of fear shimmers underneath.
“This is really scary,” he admits. “I don’t know what’s going on and I don’t know when I’ll suddenly disappear. Maybe I’ll just disappear for good? It’d be nice if there was someone familiar around. Plus,” Steve adds with a weary grin, “you were probably busy before I intruded.”
He peers around Eddie to nod at the desk that he'd been standing next to. Eddie hears an echo of disappear for good and thinks that maybe he wants to watch over Steve while he sleeps too, make sure that he doesn’t pop out of existence under Eddie’s nose.
In 1984, Eddie finds himself in front of a rugged version of the preppy jock he’s only peripherally aware of at school. Compelled by Steve's tale of time travel, Eddie invites him to hide in his trailer until he can return to his proper place and time in 1986.

Summary
Alphas are always the ones who begin the courting process. They're the ones who approach the Omega and give gifts and have to wait until they're accepted or rejected. It's traditional, and it's just the way things are. Omegas never start it. They're too likely to get ridiculed for trying to act like an Alpha, and getting roughed up by people who think it's funny to make them prove they're as tough as one. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to get it into their head that some rules just shouldn't be broken, even if they're more of a guideline anyway. Any smart Omega sits back and let's the Alpha do all the hard work.
Eddie Munson, however, is a fucking dumbass.
Once he decides to court Alpha Steve Harrington, he sets himself on a difficult path to navigate through his existing friendships and family situation. He knew it would be tough, but he finds that some things were worse than he could ever have expected. Not to mention the pack that have decided to out a target right on Eddie's back...

Summary
In the years after the world almost ended and then didn't, Steve and Eddie go from strangers to lovers to friends. Along the way, Steve learns that he likes to take care of Eddie, and Eddie learns how to let himself be cared for.
Or: Eddie knows he likes the idea of being submissive, Steve stumbles into soft-domming, and Robin hears far too much about their sex life.
(Eddie's POV in Part 1; Steve's POV in Part 2.)
