Summary
Chuuya has worked at the beach as a lifeguard for three weeks. He discovered a little over two weeks ago that the legends of fish-people along this coastline were, in fact, more than simple folktales, more than seals seen wrong in the dark, more than sailor's stories passed down over generations until the details became fantastical and twisted.
Mer-people are real, and one of them in particular seems to have made it his life's mission to ruin Chuuya's every single shift.
