He was still in the car but it was wrong. He was on his left side and his seatbelt was digging deeply into his chest, restricting the amount of air he could get in. The windshield was broken, glass scattered all around him. He tried to unbuckle his seatbelt but his hand burned with pain and he quickly gave up. His phone was nowhere to be found and his eyes were struggling to stay open. Eventually he couldn’t fight the cloud of fatigue and felt his eyes close tightly."

“Got a spell for that,” he says, and tugs on a strand of her hair playfully. He leans away from her so he has the space to gesture over her head, making a little circle with his palm flat. “Scary stuff, scary stuff, fly away.”
Miri groans. “Papaaaaa-”
He pokes at her cheek. “Now you smile.”
Growing up is hard. Growing up with Miri's papas...that's a little easier.

That's what Uramichi says, but Kumatani isn't fooled for a moment. Because he’s seen the way Uramichi smiles in the late nights: tender and wistful, bitter at many things but none of them Usahara.
Or: Kumatani knows what love looks like, even if Usahara and Uramichi can’t recognize it for themselves.

Summary
This is a super longggg series on Feng Xin being a doctor and Mu Qing being a teacher, and together the two of them raise Cuo Cuo!! The Found Family series of all my works
I would not recommend reading these works as a stand off. As much as I can, I try to make it less confusing without knowledge of the previous fic, but considering it’s all a connected story, it’s quite hard to do
