At that, Louis fully turned to him and glared. “Really?” His face already morphing into one of disgust, although he wasn’t fully aware why.
“I figured it would be helpful,” Armand says, still not looking at him. “Perhaps, a bit of guidance from the spirits is what is needed between us.”

Lestat waits for Louis to continue, and when he hears nothing more, realisation starts to hit.
He looks at Louis’ feet, the back of his ankles pressed against Lestat’s thigh, and places his hand on Louis’ leg, runs it down until it wraps around Louis’ ankle, gently pressing over the flesh, the pads of his fingers stroking the skin.
“Louis,” Lestat says, quietly. “You still have them.”
