There’s just no way.
He reaches for his phone, narrowing his eyes at the screen and sure enough, just as expected, Dream’s text and missed call immediately after midnight.
It’s still December 20th.

He knew that George loved him. Of course he did – he was on Twitter; he’d seen the fucking clips. But it was different. George loved in a way that was gentle, sweet. Tiny smiles only for him, oversized hoodies. George’s love would be crushed into a tiny ball by Dream’s until there was nothing left and it was so small that it vanished entirely. How could he make him go through that? Dream would rather drown himself in sweet strawberry syrup love than risk accidentally hurting George with it.

The thought makes his world stop spinning. Time has slowed to a stop—the words ring in his head as a red color creeps up his cheeks. It's an interesting thought, kissing Dream. George reaches up to touch his own lips to try and mimick the feeling. It doesn't do much except make him yearn for more.
