He was captured.
Even though he fought tooth and nail, nothing saved him from succumbing to the drug. His limbs felt light as feathers, dense as water. He couldn't control them, he couldn't do anything to save his life.
It wasn't death that awaited him; it was a much worse fate.
Someone kicked his body, forcing him to change position. In a moment of sobriety, his vision cleared, letting him recognize the platinum hair, the small eyes, the thick curve of the lips, the moles.
A savior? No.
The sounds cleared too. Captain Kim Hongjoong's voice vibrated through his ribcage as if he was three centimeters from his face. Shit, he knew those pirates. Those pirates were from those cruel seas.
"Song Mingi," he uttered, choking on the words.
"Oh, well," Mingi said, kneeling beside him. Wooyoung watched as his mouth twisted into a sadistic smile, so familiar it was strange. "Wooyoung, my treasure."

"You're late," Ricky says as soon as he opens the door. Gyuvin is panting, out of breath, and holding the stolen bouquet of flowers in his hands. One of them has had all of the petals completely ripped off.
"I know. I'm sorry," Gyuvin apologizes immediately, sincere as he can possibly be. Ricky is frowning, but not in the same way he frowns when Gyuvin is late for tutoring— he's frowning, and there's genuine hurt there. "Hey, hey, I'm sorry. I got—"
"Caught up?" Ricky interrupts, finishing his sentence for him. For the first time since Gyuvin's met him, Ricky sounds genuinely upset. Sad, even. Gyuvin deflates a little bit. Shit, he hopes he hasn't fucked this up entirely.
