Alma Bonnet has a good life and she is aware of that, but it doesn"t change the fact that it isn"t the life for her. As she grows and the years go by without much word from her absent father, she finds herself relating to him more and more as she grows distant from the family he left behind.
With the prospect of finishing school looming, Alma makes a hasty escape and decides to follow in her father"s wake - quite literally. Captain Alma...it certainly does have a ring to it.

Blackbeard - Edward - is ready to try his hand at a hobnobbery aboard a French ship full of passive aggression and stupid fucking snail forks. He feels good about the entire thing until he looks in the mirror and sees only the wind and sea ravaged hair and beard of a disgusting pirate.
Stede decides it’s time for somebody to truly take care of Ed and make him see how loved he could be if he only let himself trust somebody.

Summary
Edward Teach is out for a midnight stroll when he stops in front of St. James Palace to light a cigarette. There"s an oddly compelling guard standing sentry. Ed gets to talking to him, and it becomes a habit.
His lungs burn a little, and he blows the smoke out with a porny sort of moan and of course that’s when he notices that there’s a guard in the box, and that he’s blown smoke right into his face.
“Oh, fuck, sorry, mate,” he says, waving it away. Of course the guard doesn’t say anything. Doesn’t even flinch, just stares straight ahead, like Ed’s not there, waving his hands in the air like a madman. Only not quite like Ed’s not there. There’s an unmistakable twinkle in his eye. Huh.
