Summary
“I needed you,” Eddie says again, this time low and quiet and Buck wipes at his eyes and can’t help himself but ask what’s been circling around his mind the last few minutes.
“Why did you need someone to bail you out of jail?”
It’s easier than telling Eddie that he knows he’s hurt him, hurt Chris, and that until the lawsuit is settled there’s nothing he can do to make it right.
“It was nothing. The point is that I wanted to call you.”
It’s not the point, Buck thinks, desperate to know what had happened, if Eddie is okay.
“If you had called, I would’ve come. I always will. You know that, right?”
Eddie glares at him and Buck sniffles.

Summary
“So, Frank thinks we should do couples therapy.”
Eddie’s words sink in and Buck fumbles the plate in his hand, watching open-mouthed as it falls to the floor and smashes into a million pieces, scattering across the linoleum.
“Shit!” Buck yelps, shoving an arm out instinctively to keep Eddie in place, lest he starts to move and step on a shard with his bare feet. Eddie looks up at him, bemused and impossibly fond, a small smile playing on his lips even though the crease in his brow he’s had since he returned from his therapy session is still etched in place.
“Swear jar!” shouts Chris gleefully.
