He was so happy to be in love with a wonderful girl who loved him back, but he hated that one of his first friends was struggling because of it."

Quiet beeping was the first thing Izuku noticed as he regained consciousness, shortly followed by the sterile smell of a hospital and the sound of someone else’s breathing. He felt like his eyelashes had been sealed together as he forced his eyes open. He winced at the brightness of the lights, only to have a shadow fall over his eyes as soon as he did. In the reprieve, he was able to make out a familiar hand hovering over his face to block some of the light.

“It’s not fair!” Ochako cried out frustratedly, throwing herself loudly on the apartment couch. “When is it my turn to go on cute little picnic dates? When is it my turn to kiss in the rain like they do in those romcoms?”
Izuku lifted his head up from his boyfriend’s lap. “Well, I can try to set you up with–”
“You set me up with a serial killer last time. I don’t trust you to even find me a hookup at this point,” she responded flatly.
“Hey!”
“I know a guy,” Shouto said, fingers stilling over Izuku’s curls.
Ochako sent him a flat look. “Are you sure he isn’t going to be a serial killer?”
Shouto blinked. “He’s my coworker and he obsesses over the Dewey decimal system and doesn’t go to sleep after ten pm. Trust me, he isn't a serial killer.”
“That was one time!” Izuku complained.

In all her twenty years of living, Ochako has never been in a single relationship that ended well. After accepting that she needs help finding the perfect man, Shouto, her best friend’s boyfriend, sets her up on a blind date with Tenya Iida.
A museum date, her best friends spying on her, and a kiss and confession in the rain later ensues.
