Walburga raised her hand again, and Sirius lunged forwards, stumbling past and startling the woman. She turned, mouth in a sneer.
“Don’t fucking touch him.” Sirius stepped in front of Regulus, a horrible reminder of when they were kids.

Sirius has had many bad omens in his life, the family he was born into, the parents, his fiery temperament, his way of not thinking things through, doing stupid shit that ends up him losing his friends, not being enough and getting disowned etcetera etcetera..
So what was one more?
This bad omen though, turned out to be their new muggle studies teacher, who looked a bit too long, got too close for comfort, just something was off about him, at least Sirius could see it.
