    Summary

“I haven’t…” she starts, watches his blue eyes narrowed in concern and it’s distracting, everything’s distracting. “I haven’t had a body in a hundred years,” Zelda manages, and shrugs one shoulder, as if to say what can you do? “I was Hylia, mostly, and a little bit me, but I wasn’t a person. I was the sun and the wind and the water and the dirt and I was in a prison and I was the prison. I feel like I’m blindfolded, now, without that sense of the world, but also everything is so bright and loud and close and I hardly know how I’m managing to speak to you when my skin is feeling wind for the first time in a century. It’s…” she trails off, her words failing her, which is infuriating because she’s a scholar, she’s good at words. “It’s a lot,” she finishes awkwardly, for lack of anything better to say.

Or: Learning to be a person again, after the end.

    Summary

The Fabulous Killjoys barely escape the BL/ind firefight with their lives.

Shaken by the near-death experience and the almost loss of the Girl, they make the impulsive decision to pack up their meagre belongings and drive as far north as possible to see if they can start life over somewhere safer. Expecting more irradiated wasteland, they instead end up in Winslow's Creek, a small town in Oregon that seems to be completely unaffected by the apocalypse. Taken in by Orwell, an ex-zonerunner who made a similar escape two decades prior, and his daughter Joey, the Killjoys try to adjust to a life that isn't full of constant danger, while trying to understand exactly why it seems that the rest of the world was unaffected by the decades of nuclear warfare that had shaped their lives.

There's also the matter of their initial escape. What happens now that the Zones' beloved heroes have fled? How will they change the world if their deaths were what helped to do it in the first place?

    Summary

A series of fics set in the Spiderverse about home, and its variations.

All can be read as stand-alones, although they follow a vague chronological order and sometimes overlap. Any liberties taken with physics, quantum theory, or New York geography are strictly artistic and (probably) intentional.

    Summary

Jefferson Davis can’t lie to himself, as much as he tries. He and Miles have always butted heads-- his son just has this carefree, unfettered approach to life that Davis' strict, no-nonsense methods seemingly have no place in. A large part of him loves Miles for that, truly, even though sometimes Jefferson feels as if he's just slowing him down.

But now, with Miles away at school on weeknights-- seemingly always busy with something or another-- Jefferson has never felt that gaping space between himself and his son yawn wider.

Enter the new Spider-Man. A free-spirited kid, five foot nothing and standing between the whole city and danger as if it’s his job, breaking a long series of minor laws with careless ease, and giving a certain cop heart palpitations on a regular basis.

Jefferson Davis can’t lie to himself anymore. No matter how much he hates vigilantes-- especially of the masked variety-- a child is a child. And a dad is a dad.
