It’s not exactly a shock that every now and again the thought crosses his mind. There and then gone again just as quickly: I really like Regulus. Buried behind a cluster of other things that occupy space in his mind so he can’t slip and fall into a subconscious hedge maze that he can’t find his way out of, Regulus begging to be found at its center.
James is already in deeper than he should be with one unattainable individual, he doesn’t really need to get there with another. At least this one he knows personally, he supposes.
