The name sounds like a secret spoken into the misty, surreal atmosphere of the casino. He can't help that it comes out breathless. Jungkook's eyes flicker with their own sort of panic as they recognize each other immediately.

And suddenly, the night is slightly brighter than it was before.

“One day, I went to the Bay and bought their entire stock. They only had eight, so I placed an order for more. It arrived the next week. The couch throw still smells like you. All your shirts still smell like you.”Taehyung stares at all the bottles lined up in what used to be their shared vanity—each containing the same perfume, Taehyung’s perfume—Jungkook’s perfume that Taehyung switched to because Jungkook hated Taehyung’s annoyingly macho Axe spray he used to buy from the campus store.
“I drink black coffee every morning. Sometimes, I drink it at 3 AM, when the words don’t come. It’s bitter and disgusting and it makes me gag but I can’t stop drinking it every morning.”
Jungkook squeezes Taehyung’s arm tighter, the hope making him shameless; brave. “W–why?”
“Because it reminds me of you. Because I can’t stand to forget what your morning kisses smell like.”

Summary
The thing about an office kitchen is that it’s surprisingly similar to trying to organise a hangout in a group chat: because it is accessible to everyone, no one feels responsible for it. In both cases, Jungkook feels immensely responsible.
He lives his life quite happily in this manner. Keeps his kitchens clean and his group hangouts organised.
But then, Kim Taehyung starts working in their office.

Summary
Taehyung stares at Jungkook’s arms that are disgustingly defined, even through the jacket that he’s got on.
“You’re drooling.”
With a quick shift of his gaze, he makes to leave. “I’m off,” he says, but Jungkook stops him.
“Wait for me. I’ll be right out.”
Taehyung nods. While he waits outside, with the help of a window of a car parked nearby, he fixes his hair.
When Jungkook comes out, his eyes flick to Taehyung’s hair, like he’s noticed something. Taehyung feels embarrassed, but Jungkook doesn’t say anything about it. They part ways after making plans to meet up after school. When Taehyung goes home and looks at himself in the mirror, he messes his hair up again. A silent protest, with himself, to stop being a complete loser.
But that feels futile, when he sees Jungkook that evening, more dressed up than he usually is, and his arms, very obviously, on display, even though there’s a chill to the air as the sun is setting. When Jungkook finds Taehyung and waves at him with a smile on his face, Taehyung’s heart feels so alarmingly funny.
