Summary
"I'll let you drink my blood, if you show me.”
Astarion clenched his jaw. Eventually the Durge was going to realize that he had to actually withhold something first to use it as a carrot, and then they’d learn together just how much degradation Astarion would endure for a mouthful of his blood.
“If you really loved me, you'd let me drink your blood regardless,” he countered, pouting, doing his level best to hide how weak his hand was.
As he had done every time thus far, the Dark Urge folded.
Astarion practices setting boundaries. The Dark Urge tries bottoming. Somewhere, Cazador wakes in a cold sweat, unaware that his days are now numbered.

Summary
Astarion would have been the first to admit that he was an equal-opportunity slut, but he did have a type, and that type was large, beefy men with uncomplicated desires and absolutely massive swords. Which, incidentally, would be the easiest way to explain the Durge to any stranger.
By the time they reached their encampment by the river, Astarion was sore, starving, and aching with desire. Why did his heat have to hit now?
His first plan was to just.. hope it went away.
An opportunity presents itself in the form of a problem. Astarion avoids making hard decisions. The Dark Urge goes down by the river.

Summary
Jaskier is trying to convince Geralt to keep him around. He's finally getting to the interesting part of the real Continent, and it's all because of his taciturn demigod of a tour guide. He's never had so much fun in his post-academic career.
Geralt is trying just as hard to convince himself that keeping Jaskier around is a terrible idea, and that's only getting more difficult. He's getting used to having company, to indulging in the pack instincts that Vesemir always warned him against.
The last person Geralt wants to see in the middle of this psycho-emotional crisis is Lambert.
Lambert brings with him a host of other problems, like how to hunt a monster that isn't a monster and how to casually have sex with the man you're trying not to fall in love with. But if Lambert and Jaskier are going to jointly insist on the bard following them into danger, he can at least prepare Jaskier for it.

Summary
Hawke traded ribald jokes with pirate queens and dwarven storytellers in taverns, and then in a dark hall at night looked an escaped and hunted slave in the eyes straight-on and asked him to his bed, softly, as if afraid to be refused; as if Fenris might have some power in this, over him.

Summary
/tolerance to a poison acquired by taking gradually increased doses of it/
The wizard's blood is toxic. Remarkable how repetition turns horrors mundane.
Or, to expound: The wizard of Waterdeep reeks of poison and weed, and Astarion can’t help himself on either count. Luckily, Gale considers any and all forms of experimentation, no matter how virulent, to be fruitful. Things escalate in every possible direction over a series of well-wasted camp nights.

Summary
The sheep looks to his shepherd.
The shepherd's hands tremble in the dark.
Two eyes, dark and shiny as sea glass, bulge and blink as Gale brings the knife to the offering’s throat. The battle rages on and the babe bleeds upon Athena’s boots. Let it take, he prays, let her hear.
“My. What do we have here?" Gale hears a soldier’s voice in place of his Goddess. "Two little lambs left upon the altar?”

Summary
“I am not eager to throw myself upon another altar for naught but scraps in return.” Gale steels himself with a deep breath. He speaks his peace to the wilds and the cosmos rather than his lover's face. “And yet. Marble skin, silver tongue... eyes like Moonsea rubies. Oh, you cast a fine altar, Astarion.”
With two discerning appetites, a deal to keep each other fed is the one thing that ties Astarion and Gale together. But the proverbial collar slips all too easily around Gale's throat, the lead feels right in Astarion's unchained hands, and both men think they've bested the other in a game neither should be playing.
In any case. As the greats say in lanceboard: there is no shame in losing to a stronger foe.

Summary
Astarion heard Gale swallow thickly and then he could smell it. Lust. Sweet and fragrant. The wizard's gaze flicked down to his mouth.
All at once everything fell into place.
Of course he wouldn't take him to his bedroom and tell him to strip.
The wizard possessed something Cazador had never had: Manners.
He’d chosen a far more subtle approach that left Astarion the comforting illusion of free will. The trap hadn’t been as crude as food and shelter. No, Astarion had been accruing a far less obvious debt. The library card. The suddenly tuned piano. The bottles of bergamot and rosemary oil that had found a way into his bathroom. The glasses. The ring. A debt he had never agreed to, but still it had built.
Anyone could tell what the wizard wanted in payment.Waterdeep will be many things for Astarion. A place to rest. A place to heal. A place to figure out what the fuck he wants to do with his life now.
It will also be a place of endless frustration with a wizard who refuses to collect on his debts and a stranger he can not keep himself from returning to.
