Summary
Chris Bang is a few things: a 21 year old paramedic, freshly hired into a new firehouse with his godfather, and a victim of horrific irony. Which is how he finds himself couch hopping across West Side Chicago after a fire engulfs his godfather's home, with no more than a poorly packed box, the haunting memory of his godfather's pulse in his palms and the man himself, only still standing thanks to Chris' quick thinking and excessive training.

“That those—” Jisung’s finger comes up to brush the space between the two collars on Minho’s skin. It’s warm to the touch. He’s more affected than he gives off. “Are meant for cats, not humans.” He tilts his head daringly, flicking the small bell on the collar when he’s finished speaking.
It jingles into the thick air between them, their scents rising immeasurably, curling together in a syrupy mess. He can see the way Minho’s nostrils flare, the way his eyes travel across Jisung’s body, his expression giving nothing away past attraction and thirst.
“Maybe I am a cat,” Minho dares, his grin growing.

Summary
