“Come on,” Lottie says, leaning over to nudge Nat’s shoulder. “Singing is a great way to let out pent up feelings.”
Nat nods, watching Van gesture towards the audience of tables filled with other drunk people cheering and singing along, Tai among them, watching with obvious heart eyes.

Nobody ever told Nat beforehand how hard it was to keep a relationship private. They’re playing a card game version of ‘Love is Blind’ today, which, in Nat’s opinion, is kind of dumb, but Jackie absolutely insisted that she be in it, and it was a battle she chose not to fight.
Nat's handed a ring from the box, and something about it just catches her eye. Lottie’s playing it up for the cameras, facing away from Nat and talking about how excited she is to see what Nat looks like, but Nat’s just standing there like an idiot, gaping at this ring.
She’s not sure what she expected, but it somehow wasn’t this. A ring, gold, with an undoubtedly fake but passable enough “diamond” in the center. It looks like an engagement ring.
It’s somehow just now hitting her that she’s about to propose to her girlfriend. Not really, not actually. But she’s about to get on one knee and present a ring to Charlotte Isobel Matthews.
