She blinked before memories came flooding back to her, of a raven-hair boy that would join her and Ryuji on the playground, of the way he was the calm to their storm, who was soft spoken, but had barbs capable of piercing steel.
…Of the way he just upped and vanished one day without so much as a goodbye.
She gasped and gripped his arm, her jaw unhinging before she slowly reached up to take off his glasses. She knew he had perfect vision, after all.

“…Kurusu?” the stranger finally says, which is really weird, because that’s Akira’s name.
