Summary
It’s been months since Natsu has started following Gray with his eyes, watching, searching for something. Scenting the air whenever the other is near. Feeling like he’d like to keep his rival by his side.
Burning with curiosity, Natsu tries to do something about it. If nothing, just to understand what’s going on. However, he messes up and gets the resident gossip queen, Mirajane, on his tail. To be fair, it’s hard to avoid someone whose sole job is to tend to the guild members and Mirajane is always present at the guildhall.
The days are getting shorter with every passing hour, the Winter Solstice celebration is growing near, and everyone is supposed to get together to help with the preparations. Natsu and Gray end up paired for the decoration help when Gray unexpectedly swoops in to help get Mirajane off Natsu’s case. Facing almost the exact scenario he envisioned to investigate, Natsu finds it a golden opportunity to learn just what makes Gray so… tempting, for the lack of a better word.
In which Natsu doesn’t know he’s pining after Gray, Magnolia is a melting pot of different cultures, and some traditions are more revealing than others.
