Summary
The scrape of bar stools against wooden floors and raised shouts can be heard outside the tavern. As he enters and scans the room, a glass bottle hits the wall, narrowly missing the Acting Grand Sage’s head. The room is silent in an instant. He stands up straighter, wearing a dark look on his face; all of his stoicism morphs into anger the minute he sees hands grip harder onto golden curls.
Trouble finds Kaveh, in more ways than one. Al-Haitham pieces together what he can.

Summary
Kaveh scowls at Alhaitham from across table, cinnabar eyes narrowed under the blades of his golden lashes. His showy pen hovers over the trace paper.
“You were doing that thing again,” Alhaitham says, returning his expression. “That thing with your tongue.”
Sticking it out, that is, the moist pink tip curled temptingly over his lower lip. It happens more often than not whenever Kaveh’s concentration slips into deep focus. Of all the man’s terrible habits—and Alhaitham can enumerate several of them—this one has to be the most infuriating.
Kaveh still sticks his tongue out when he concentrates. Alhaitham still notices. He’s beginning to think it’s time to show Kaveh just how distracting a tongue can be.
Inspired by dominicgray’s fic “hide behind these words.”

Summary
Kaveh is lonely at home, loneliness leads to drinking, drinking leads to overindulgence, and overindulgence leads to wanting to suck his boyfriend's dick when he finally comes home.
Alhaitham glances back at him with a certain look on his face, one Kaveh can’t exactly place. “What happened?”
“What happened…?” Kaveh repeats. The words don’t make sense to him, even as they leave his lips. They ring around aimlessly in his head for a moment until his brain decides to understand and he opens his mouth to form an ‘o.’
“Yes, Kaveh,” Alhaitham says slowly. “Why have I come back home on a Tuesday evening to find you drunk on the divan?”
Kaveh groans at that. It feels stupid when he puts it that way. The beginning of the week isn’t time for drinking nor for feeling sorry for himself. He had Sunday for that. It’s time to pull himself together.
Instead, he feels like vomiting.
“You… You weren’t here,” he whispers. He turns his head away to stare at the floor, finding it easier than looking up and having to squint at the bright lights. “No one was here. I don’t like being alone. Not at home.”
