“Don’t say it like that, as if it’s alright, as if its meaningless!”
“I’m sorry.” Kaeya apologized, “Diluc, it’s going to be alright, you know.”
“Kaeya you’re dying! You’re dying and there is nothing I can do about it! How can it possibly be alright?!”

He explored the nation similar to the one he used to call home and realized there was not much of a difference. It just seemed… happier, better…
In the back of his mind, Kaeya understood that everything different in this world happened because he never existed… So his world could’ve been happier if he just hadn’t…
Kaeya stopped that train of thought immediately; he has no reason to think like that.

"Do you believe in guardian angels, Kae?"
"...Hmm? Why are you bringing this up?" Kaeya giggles, "Oh? Luc, do you want one?"
"Nope!" Diluc replies, "I already have you! I have no need for a guardian angel as long as I have your support!" Diluc then giggled, "I wouldn't be surprised if you were my guardian angel."
Kaeya stared for a few seconds, slack jawed, before smiling back widely, "Of course, Luc! If you want, I'll be your guardian angel!"

"Khaenri'ah, huh? You sure know a lot." The deep rumble of Crepus's voice answered. "Well, the legacy of Khaenri'ah is long gone, and the sinners are all that's left. Those that remain really aren't worth mentioning..."
Kaeya nodded, as he processed what Crepus had told him.
“All of them…?” Kaeya asked with a small voice.
“For sure.”

“How will I ever explain it to Diluc?” Kaeya seemingly randomly rushed out as he stared as his boots.
Crepus stared off into the open. “If you would like, I could be there with you,” He stared, “But I’m sure no matter what happens, Diluc will accept you either way.”

“I fear that serving time wouldn't do much in the means of reform for those two,” Nines sighed, taking another sidelong glance at the pair. He could only see the male from the angle he was standing at, but he was now sitting cross legged on the floor of the cell directly in front of the see through wall.
“I stopped giving a shit about 'reforming’ those little shits after the fifth time I brought ‘em in. There's no hope for those types, they're either gonna end up in a cell or iced out in some fuckin’ alley,” The officer seethed, his words dripping venom as thick as honey.
