Dick Grayson has healing powers, he simply always has. It's a secret he keeps close to his chest, as much as he'd like to shout it from the rooftops and help everyone in need, his papá has instilled it in him to closely guard his secret for his own safety.
When Dick is Robin with a newly made Batman, he can't help himself from revealing his secret when Batman gets hurt. He just tells him to close his eyes as he does.
It's just a normal fact of life, going to Dick when you get injured, one the entire batfamily depends on, allowing for a lot of reckless behaviour.
This is why Dick can't tell them about the consequences of using them. It's why he asked them to close their eyes. He can deal with it.
(His hands are beginning to take on a tremble that won't stop.)
