Summary
Once he’d fastened his hamlet and secured the harness around himself, Al-Haitham finally glances over. He meets the concern that’s flushed over Kaveh’s features with the faintest glimmer of a smile; a steady reassurance.
Kaveh blinks, caught off guard by the unexpected smile. Then, he exhales, and asks, once more: “Are you certain about this? You don’t have to be the one to race. I’m the one who designed and built this craft, so I’m more than familiar—”
“Much more certain than you are.” Al-Haitham replies. “Besides, did you forget that I've to be the one to win this race? That’s part of Nahida’s bet with Sangemah Bay. There’s no need to worry—I’ll be fine.” He pulls the goggles over his eyes as he nods at the mechanic, a glint of wry amusement in his gaze. “Jedi reflexes are a lot quicker than most, after all.”
“You…” Kaveh’s expression sours at that, his concern morphing into indignation. “Who said I was worrying about you!? It’s the Pod I’m really concerned about! I’ve just about perfected the engine efficiency and thruster stabilisers, so don’t you go crashing it beyond repair!”

Summary
He knows what she is asking; knows that this is the only way, and yet—
Master, I cannot do this… Please do not ask me to…!
And yet, Nahida only smiles through the pain. She tightens her hold around the Sith, pulling his blade deeper into her, just under her ribcage, as she traps him within her embrace.
Master Kusanali, please. Al-Haitham tries again, his eyes already misting with growing despair. There has to be another way…
Even as he still raises his lightsaber and flicks the surging green blade to life. Even as he uses the Force to propel himself forward and leap several jumps ahead, his teal eyes flashing fire, his aim sure.
In which Jedi Padawan Al-Haitham learns to let go as he treads the path to Knighthood.

Summary
The man frowns, unimpressed, at Kaveh then, his gaze piercing through silver wisps of hair like a knife's edge; like polished teal gemstones glinting in the dark.
Before Kaveh can slap himself awake from this odd dream—
(Because, of course, this is a dream, isn't it…? Ah, he must be losing his mind from the solitude…)
—the man only lets out an exhale, a soft gust of air, and says:
"If you're going to continue making this much of a fuss again, I'm afraid I'll have to start charging you rent."
Kaveh blinks, uncomprehending.
The man doesn’t blink back, his impassive gaze cool and verdant like forest rain.
Kaveh blinks again before he jolts upright, suddenly indignant.
"W-What…? But why do I need to be charged with rent? I built this house myself, so if anything, shouldn't I be the one to charge you rent?
In which Kaveh, cursed with a mark of solitude, finds a stranger trespassing in his home.

Summary
Evidently, something is afoot.
Al-Haitham furrows his brow at the thought. No, there’s more to this than the customary stressors that come with tight deadlines, demanding clients, and Kaveh’s own propensity for perfectionism and self-reproach (as if he had any say or power over the fickleness of natural phenomena). Al-Haitham knows this because even at his lowest points, in his utmost despair, Kaveh had not hesitated to unload all his life troubles openly to Al-Haitham despite their estrangement then.
Which means all of this must be somewhat related to Al-Haitham himself.
Kaveh is afflicted by a strange inconvenience; Al-Haitham postulates a viable solution.

Summary
It’s the seventh time they have walked down this narrow path through the dimly-lit underpass.
The seventh time they have passed by too-familiar faces, too-cherished voices; ghostly whispers and distorted laughter that creep closer at every turn, at every flicker between shadow and light.
Nonetheless, Al-Haitham doesn’t cease from stepping in just as Kaveh reaches an arm out towards the beckoning silhouettes; never hesitates to prevent Kaveh from pursuing guilt and being ensnared by long-dead memories that only mimic fleeting shadows of happiness without the warmth, always dragging Kaveh away to safety, again and again and again.
Al-Haitham and Kaveh run into several anomalies, and are trapped in a cyclic stasis.

“What of mine do you ache for, husband?” Alhaitham finally asks.
“Your less infuriating hole,” Kaveh growls, “or will I find your lower mouth just as abrasive as the one you barb me with now?”
“With such a pessimistic attitude, your wedding band might be the last ring you ever penetrate."

Summary
“Alright, Anakin,” Obi-Wan finally said, adopting his familiar Soresu stance, so familiar to Anakin it almost ached. His shoulders ached, as well, and his legs, and he was certain that Obi-Wan’s must too. But Obi-Wan just watched him with those calm eyes. “One more. And then, perhaps, you’d care to tell me what this is about.”
Or, Anakin can't sleep. Obi-Wan makes a suggestion.

Summary
A smirk spreads across Quinlan’s face, delight obvious in the Force. “Undercover as a couple, huh?” he asks, a gleeful note to his voice. “Well, this sounds like fun.”
“If that’s what you’d like to call it,” Obi-Wan says with a sigh. It doesn’t quite hide the amusement in his voice.
“Fine, we can call it fake dating instead.”
“You know that’s not what I meant.”
Quinlan looks up from the datapad, shaking his head mournfully. “Where’s your sense of adventure, Obi-Wan? Where’s your sense of romance?”
Or, Obi-Wan and Quinlan are assigned a mission together.

Summary
Around him, within him, the Force seethed. It surged like black bile in his stomach, like tar in his veins, so thick he thought he might choke on it. The whole planet was so steeped in the dark side that it left no room for anything else. It had pressed in on him ever since the crash, seeking entrance, finding it, building in on itself. Every time he reached for the Force, and even when he didn’t, it was all he could find. No hope, no relief, no light—
Only the darkness and the feel of it burrowing ever deeper inside.
Or, stranded on a planet deep in the dark side, there's only one thing that will keep Obi-Wan sane.
