The first thing he notes is that he's hard. And not only partially in a way that would denote morning wood. Bothersome. He couldn’t well ignore it if it's gotten this bad.
However, what's immediately noticeable after that is the way you're wrapped around his midsection with your head on his chest. Your soft breathing ruffles his chest hair, one of your legs is thrown over one of his, and he can feel your naked thigh brushing his erection.

Avery pours freshly brewed coffee—directly imported, expensive, and, most importantly, fashionable—forcing his brain into a state of cogitation despite the present lack of caffeine. It's quite early in the morning, not quite 5 A.M., and as he prepares his coffee the way he likes it (black, with enough sugar to banish the bitterness), he begins in earnest the cost-benefit analysis of his most recent gamble: his connexion with you. The conclusion is just as expected as it is unsatisfactory. Something has to change.

A series featuring the happy and domestic days of neighborhood Doctor Julian and the neigborhood Magician’s Apprentice following the crisis that faced them in The Arcana. It has some unknown amount of parts that are all loosely connected (you can mostly read them out of order or without reading others, though), and take place varying times after the events of the game.
The Apprentice has no established name in these works, but does use he/him and has a dick. Feel free to imagine whatever you like, however. :^)
