Summary
Years ago, after finishing Book of Life and having a massive book hangover, I started writing this one-shot AU of what it would be like Gallowglass got his happy ending– a part of which would be his sire Hugh coming back. When I read the series, I always held out a tiny flicker of hope that there was a reason Hugh's body was never found, and that it was because he wasn't actually dead, so here's my imaging of what it might look like if he were actually alive. I wrote it as a one-shot, it's mostly about Diana and Matthew because I adore them with all my being too, but maybe one day I'll circle back and add more of Hugh, Gallowglass and Fernando. No promises though– I'm proud of this work and just wanted to get it out. Hope you all love it as much as I do!
P.S. I tried to make the historical references as accurate as possible as that was always one of my favorite parts about the author's writing and world building! -
