Aemond and Luke are married and manage the day-to-day (and night-to-night) trials and tribulations of a political arrangement with no regard to their age, experience, worldview and existing relationships. Long-suffering alpha!Aemond sets aside any reservations about seeing to his natural duty as alpha and pawn and takes young and naive Lucerys as his bride. But it's of little challenge to him as master of intellect and arms, as rider of the largest dragon in the world—keeping Luke happy is work as simple as Luke himself.
And Luke is indeed happy so long as Aemond has no intent to kill him. He soon realizes it's actually a very good thing to have his uncle by his side—Aemond, who indulges him in every aspect of life under the sun and moon, whose love and patience knows no bounds and whose generosity is as vast as the sea.
