Partners, Jayce calls them. Not for the first time, Viktor wonders: Partners in what?

They don't talk about it.
Jayce wants to talk about it. He wants to pull Viktor aside and beg him to say it out loud. To put the unspoken message behind all of these little gestures into words so that he doesn't have to sit there and rip his hair out guessing.
But he can't. Because – and this is the punchline – he’s terrified that, if he does, all of it will stop.
In which Viktor develops several new habits, and Jayce has no idea how to deal with it. Any of it.
