Summary
“Look,” Eliot says, trying to remain as calm as he can manage. “I know there are a lot of timelines out there where you die before you hit thirty, but this is not one of them. In this timeline, any option that’s going to end in your death or dismemberment or life-long imprisonment is absolutely off the table. End of story.”
“So that’s the end of it? You’ve just decided for both of us?”
“Yeah,” Eliot says, “I have.”
An end of season 3/beginning of season 4 AU in which Eliot kills the Monster, but it doesn’t take over his body. And instead of getting memory-wiped, the gang gets captured and thrown in library jail.
A saved-from-the-underworld fic with a happy ending. Half caper and half romance with some smut thrown in.

Summary
Eliot Waugh is the kind of man that could charm an entire room if he wanted to, and he seems to air everything out in the open. Seems to. There are always sides of ourselves that we keep hidden, even from those closest to us--and Eliot is no exception. Something about persistant feelings of shame--a damaged self-concept. The sort of thing he therapist would say. His abusive father has just died, and Eliot can't help but feel it's necessary for him to attend, no matter how nauseating the idea is. His boyfriend, Quentin Coldwater--an open man with the patience to endure Eliot's drama and traumas--is bound to learn some thing new about his boyfriend. Or ten. And Eliot is mortified at the prospect of losing the love of those close to him.
Woven in the fibers of every person, are the core experiences that effect the way they interact with the world. Drugs, booze, abuse, shitty blond Texans with control issues, and glamorous BFFs that never give up on you included. Sometimes we blame the symptoms instead of the cause, when all they do is keep us alive at our lowest. How is Eliot expected to hold on to his sanity--and his sobriety--when he is immersed in the life that he had packed away and abandoned over a decade ago?Bookmarked by ballyboley
