There was an entire minute of silence before the alpha looked up at him.
“You wanna…” Jake swallowed, dryly “You wanna spend my rut with me?”
And that was probably the chance for Sunghoon to laugh it off and say he was joking, that it was just a little friendly, very funny joke. There were a lot of other omegas who Jake could turn to, all of them dying to get under him and there was no way he was going to pick Sunghoon out of all of them. That's how funny it was.
“Yeah” he said, instead, avoiding Jake's eyes “I do.”

The date was going great, and it's not like they couldn't go without kissing for a while, but pretending they were just friends was suffocating, and all Jake wanted was to have his boyfriend all to himself.
In the almost empty parking lot of the festival they had gone to, he pulled Sunghoon to a darker corner and wasted no time initiating a slow kiss.
It was still dangerous for them to be seen, especially considering Sunghoon's situation with being in the closet, but Jake felt like it had been an eternity since he had kissed his boyfriend, and honestly - the younger didn't seem to have any problem with that either.

Jaeyun is not a God, and maybe that’s the key of the freedom because he is the one for whom Sunghoon gave up God and himself.

he watched as jake’s eyes trailed down his body, and back up again, and sunghoon could’ve sworn his gaze had lingered on his lips for a few heartbeats.
