Summary
The kid in the shotgun was a curled-up mess of scrawny limbs and rage. Jason was elevenish, stubborn and vicious. He had a smoking habit, ran away from all the previous foster homes and cursed worse than Betty from Finances. Everybody said he was a lost cause, meaning Sage had a particularly soft spot for him and his antics.

Summary
Dick knows in his teenage years that he'd been an absolute terror. He knows that being a Hero is something he Needs To Do. He doesn't have time to pull a Bruce and adopt a million kids; Bludhaven is a big enough task without needing to worry about a kid on top of that.
Jason knows that staying with the League did him no favors in terms of mental stability. He knows that before his death he was filled with far less hatred, and is deeply aware that if his younger self met his current self, he'd only see a different version of Willis. He tries to make up for it by being nice to the kids, but he can't ever have one.
Barbara knows she has a tendency to be abrasive, crass, and filled with a simmering rage. She can't help it; she spends all day working, and then pretty much all night staring at screens and working some more. She doesn't have the leisure to take a break; information never stops, so neither does she.
How unfortunate for them that Clockwork has Plans, and those Plans include four de-aged kids with nowhere else to go.

Summary
Daniel Nightingale, ex Fenton, moves to Gotham for a fresh start. It's next to his friends, it's so very different from Amity Park, and Lady Gotham has promised her Knights will protect him.
The world as he knew it has changed, and no longer has a place as a combat hero. Not when he's more likely to flinch than to dodge, not when the sight of a knife is enough to force him back to a time and a place he never wanted to see again. In an attempt to adapt, Danny turns to being a specialized hero-medic; his sole focus is helping and evacuating, not fighting.
Except that no one told him Death Energy had the same reading to Geiger counters as gamma radiation. It isn't, but apparently Geiger counters can't tell the difference.

Summary
Bruce Wayne's planned distraction to make Vickie Vale think he was an idiot failed, and he acquired two foster children instead.
With powers he isn't sure how to control, a freshly meta teenager who also isn't sure about his powers, and a family paranoid that he's going to violate their privacy, Bruce has to figure out how to be a better parent than he has been.
Danny, however, has to learn what home means, and accept that his wasn't good for him if he wants to heal from mental wounds he didn't even know he had.

Danny, High King of the Infinite Realms, has been tricked into inhabiting the brainwashed and soulless clone of Tim Drake-Wayne.
Tim Drake-Wayne, CEO of Wayne Industries and Red Robin, found a clone of himself that fought against Ra's brainwashing enough to request help.
So Tim and Danny, upon both being cognizant enough to be on the same wavelength, looked at each other and decided hey; it's a free twin.
