You let his words linger in your mind, and fill you with a growing sense of ease. And perhaps courage. He felt comforting and even though you were inevitably going to be late to work, you also didn’t mind the break in routine. Actually, you couldn’t care less.
“I’ll break it,” you said, hands clenched and set on your lap. “If you’d break mine, too.”

He had been confused and horrified at people’s willingness to blindly follow Viktor, to give themselves up to him. But just taking a look at his face for what felt like the first time in an eternity, he was reminded that he would follow Viktor too. He would go anywhere that man went, because Viktor was his savior too. Even without magic. Even without Hextech. Viktor had always been the holiness in his life; he had simply been too blind to see it. To see him.”
In which Jayce is hopelessly devoted to Viktor, and he finally understands that the man had been his fate this whole time.

Summary
After the Diamonds attack on Earth, Pink Diamond decides to do one last thing as her former self: Go back for the playmate she abandoned over a thousand years ago in a childish imitation of maturity.
Realizing that her actions have mentally scarred Spinel, she attempts to save Spinel the heartache by having her play a new game: Play Pretend. Pink Diamond, now known as Rosie, finally takes Spinel away from her loneliness. Spinel becomes a Crystal Gem in a post-gem war Earth, and devotes herself entirely to Rosie's happiness.
Even if that means Rosie will no longer exist.
